Ford Foundation Invests in Detroit

The Ford Foundation announced it's first mission related investment since publicly committing to a billion dollar earmark for impact investing. It's a $10 million investment in Detroit's Platform Neighborhood Initiative, an affordable housing and community development project, in partnership with developer Steven Ross. For the Foundation this is part of a longer term mix of grants and capital deployment to revitalize the Motor City.
