E-Guide to Early Stage Global Impact Investing

Toniic, the global impact investor network and platform, joined forces with Duke University's Center for the Advancement of Social Entrepreneurship to create this guide for early-stage global impact investing. The authors state their goal: "to help those with an interest in investing in early-stage impact enterprises learn how this work is being done by their peers from wherever they are in the world."
 
The Guide is designed to help investors go from interest to action using a seven-step framework:

  2. Sourcing an Investment Pipeline
  3. Conducting Due Diligence
  4. Getting to Deal Terms
  5. Managing Investments for Mutual Success
  6. Assessing and Achieving Performance
  7. Cultivating Lessons for Impact Investing
The Guide also includes four case studies:
  1. Healthpoint Services (clean water and telemedicine)
  2. BioLite (cookstoves)
  3. Liberty & Justice (apparel manufacturer)
  4. SMV Wheels (rickshaw ownership for drivers)
Finally, the Guide includes six regional guides:
