Thought Leadership

The Verge of A Revolution

In a Harvard Business Review essay, Paula Goldman of the Omidyar Network argues that today’s business leaders are embracing work for social good much earlier in their careers – and often, using impact investing as their tool of choice. This new generation of visionaries, Goldman writes, no longer views commerce and philanthropy as wholly separate. As prominent hedge fund manager Bill Ackman put it: "When I graduated from business school I thought business was about making money, and philanthropy was about doing good. Now I think both can be used as methods for changing the world.”
