Workshop Series: Grassroots Community Engaged Investments

Join Transform Finance and the Center for Cultural Innovation for an invite-only virtual Workshop Series for funders. The workshop will assist funders in understanding and implementing Grassroots Community Engaged Investments (GCEI), a growing trend in philanthropy, community development, and impact investing that builds grassroots power by sharing decision making and governance in the investment process.

 

Building on a recent report from Transform Finance and an introductory discussion series, this workshop provides a space to learn from other funders who developed best practices in supporting GCEI initiatives, develop strategies for your own organization, answer your questions about deepening your power-building work, and forge connections with peers and experts to develop practices together. Altogether, it is a space to align place-based investment work and social justice grantmaking with a new paradigm in community development that builds power in addition to creating wealth.
