Education Startup EverFi Raises $190 Million

EverFi, an education technology company, announced today that it has raised $190 million in funding for digital products that promote financial literacy, responsible college behavior (such as awareness of hazing and alcohol consumption), corporate compliance (sexual harassment and diversity training), and other programs.
 
The funding round, reportedly the third largest in the ed tech space in recent history, was led by the Rise Fund, a new social impact investing fund managed by the private equity firm TPG Growth. Pierre Omidyar and Jeff Skoll are investors in and sit on the board of directors for the Rise Fund, whose goal is to drive global impact through uncompromised business performance.
