Getting Smarter About Place-Based Impact Investing

In this article ImpactAlpha spotlights the three practitioner briefs on collaborative place-based impact investing briefs recently released by MIE and Urban Institute, with support from MacArthur Foundation.

 

The cites quotes one of the briefs: “Place-based impact investing is no longer a solo endeavor for many foundations across the United States. Foundations are increasingly joining and leading cross-sector efforts to invest in the communities at the heart of their mission.” It goes on to summarize examples of place-based collaborations in Chicago, Michigan, New York State, and Baltimore that are detailed in the briefs.
