California FreshWorks Case Study

This report examines the development and implementation of FreshWorks. It is one of three in a series of reports released as part of the evaluation of FreshWorks. In recognition of these community health challenges related to food access, TCE launched the California FreshWorks program (FreshWorks) in 2011 in partnership with a broad coalition of public and private capital providers and thought partners. FreshWorks is a financing initiative designed to bring grocery stores and markets that offer fresh produce and other innovative forms of healthy food retail to underserved communities.
