W.K. Kellogg Foundation’s Reimagining Opportunities for Investment (ROI) in the South

The W.K. Kellogg Foundation (WKKF) brought together a group of prominent investors, including endowments, investment banks, corporations, and individuals, for an event called Reimagining Opportunities for Investment (ROI) in the South. This initiative aims to explore a range of investment opportunities in the U.S. South, with a focus on creating a sustainable investment ecosystem for marginalized communities such as Black, Indigenous, Latino, and other undercapitalized groups in the region.

 

The Kellogg Foundation crafted the virtual investment tour, known as Reimagining Opportunities for Investment (ROI) in the South, with the aim of demonstrating how intersecting economic and social shifts are generating prospects for investors focused on making a positive impact across various asset categories. ROI in the South offers in-depth explorations of select sectors and regions to impart valuable insights on navigating investment opportunities in the area. Effective investment strategies that uplift communities, rather than exploit them, necessitate a commitment to understanding the local context and anchoring approaches in community relationships and solutions.
